Join artist and JACO Board member Alissa Ohashi for this collage workshop exploring symbol, story, and self. No art experience needed; just curiosity and a desire to create. Through cutting, layering, stitching, and intuitive composition, we will explore the images that are already living inside us. The ones that hold memory, longing, tension, and possibility. This is less about making something “good” and more about making space for reflection, imagination, and unexpected insight. All materials are provided. Bring a friend or simply bring yourself.
Gather in community. Explore your inner world. See what wants to take shape.
Alissa Ohashi is an interdisciplinary artist and facilitator working across photography, collage, sculpture, performance, and installation. Her practice explores the relationship between individual parts and the emergent whole, engages with processes of integration and transformation, and considers identity, memory, and their role within collective meaning-making. In addition to her studio practice, Ohashi facilitates workshops at the intersection of art, psychology, and esoteric traditions, creating spaces for embodied inquiry, imaginal engagement, and psychic exploration. She has recently served as Arts in the Parks Coordinator with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and the Ohio Arts Council, where she developed statewide public art programming, and currently serves as a member of the board for the Jung Association of Central Ohio. Ohashi holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from Columbus College of Art & Design and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Strategic Communication from Ohio State University. She recently received a graduate certificate for Depth Psychology in the 21st Century from Pacifica Graduate Institute. She is a 2025 Greater Columbus Arts Council Artist Projects grant recipient and has exhibited her work nationally and internationally.
