Committees

The Board is a dedicated group of individuals, clinical professionals and lay people, who volunteer their time to be the voice of JACO and to assure that JACO lives by its Mission Statement, Vision Statement, and Statement on Racial Inequality.  JACO has a regular meeting every other month starting in February of each year.  We meet, in person, on the second Thursday of that month starting at 5:30 pm at the Library at JungHaus.  Our meetings are open, and members are welcomed to join us.

The Executive Committee consists of the Board Chair, Board vice-Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and Office Manager.  It meets the week before each regular Board meeting to establish the agenda and discuss issues that have arisen in between meetings.

The Library Committee consists of Board members and volunteers.  It is responsible for managing JACO’s Library comprehensive library of over 1600 Jungian-related materials in a manner that is well-catalogued and accessible to the Jungian community.  The members also go through the book, CD, and other donations JACO receives to determine whether we can incorporate them into our library or make them available to our community through our book sales.  This committee also manages our book sales.

The Membership Committee consists of Board members and volunteers.  It is responsible for working with and growing JACO’s membership and to do so in a way that encourages participation (attendance, volunteering, etc.). It also manages JACO’s annual appeal process and makes recommendations to the Board with respect to ways to best interact with those who are interested in Jungian thought.

The Marketing Committee consists of Board members and volunteers.  It is responsible for actively promoting JACO and the events put together by our Programming Committee.  It is responsible for assuring that our members are aware of upcoming events and reaching out to the public in order to continue to grow the JACO community.  Their work includes managing all aspects of the marketing process such as social media, our web page, and otherwise drafting marketing materials.

The Programming Committee consists of Board members and volunteers.  It is responsible for establishing an ongoing calendar of programs, workshops, and related activities based in Jungian thought that provide value to and grow our Jungian community—both clinical professionals and lay people.  The committee members research speakers and topics, suggest which programs should qualify for continuing education units (CEUs) and forward information to those responsible for granting CEUs, act as liaisons to speakers, and otherwise coordinate programming activities.  It is responsible for setting up Saturday Conversations, the Book Club and making recommendations to the Board related to JACO’s programming activities.
